Every team member at Locowise is trained and committed to protecting the privacy and security of Locowise user data. We receive this from all the valued businesses who are dependent on our app to measure and report on their social media performance, but we recognise that you may not wish to hear from us forever.
Therefore, in preparation for 25 May 2018, when the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect, we wanted to ensure that Locowise account holders (past, present and future) and their choices regarding any communications utilising their first name, surname and email address are always respectfully adhered to.
Opting in or out with us is easy...
Here are just a few ways to opt in or out of helpful product updates, webinars, social channel growth insights and industry trends from our blog.
1. If you have or have had an account with us, simply tap the 'Customise' button via you account menu in-app, where you'll be taken to a secure personal user preferences section that looks like this;
2. Alternatively, you can drop us a line any time with a request to opt in or out via the chat icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen that looks like this;
3. You can formally email email@example.com with subject line 'I want to opt in/out' and a member of our team can come back to you with written confirmation you can keep. This also applies to any formal data subject access requests.

Our functionality dictates that there are specific user-configured actions within the Locowise application, where the tool will send you mandatory confirmation emails in connection with your account if you are on a live paid subscription or free trial with us.
Certain actions you take, such as configuring email automation for your social analytics reports or monthly Social Audits, mean you'll continue to receive these reports via email unless they are disabled via your account. If you ever wish to opt out of these and no longer want them landing in your inbox, you can simply select the 'X' icon next to these reports in your account to immediately deactivate them.
However, please don't hesitate to contact our live support team if you ever get stuck with this, and they will guide you in real-time on how to disable them instantly in your account.
